Traffic management for the Tallinn Marathon

The Tallinn Marathon was first held under the name Sügisjooks (Autumn Race) in 2000. The name Tallinn Marathon was adopted in 2010 and, today, the number of participants has grown to more than twenty thousand. As such, it is one of the largest sports events in the city of Tallinn, for which preparations begin early each year and encompass many aspects. As the marathon route passes through the centre of Tallinn and requires closing off some of the most important roads in the area, the temporary rerouting of traffic has to be carried out smoothly and carefully. K-Projekt has been entrusted with preparing traffic management schemes for the Tallinn Marathon for many years now.
