In 2019, we had the chance to work on several innovative projects. One of these was a solar power plant commissioned by Eesti Energia, for which the rural municipality government granted a building permit on 21 November. The prepared design documentation established the design for the solar power plant and its supporting structure, which were to be constructed on the industrial site of the Estonia Oil Shale Mine in Alutaguse Rural Municipality, Ida-Viru County. The solar power plant has a design capacity of 3 MW and a total annual output of nearly 2,800 megawatt-hours, which corresponds to the annual electricity needs of around 1,000 households. The plant will be built on a limestone base. The panels will cover an area of 7.5 ha.
